Brake Caliper Restoration
A large part of our business which has been integral to our success over the last 6-7 years!
We restore brake calipers not only cheaper than buying new but also including a cosmetic respray / powdercoat to the highest of standards! Check out our process below!

01
Stripping!
If you bring your car in to us, we remove the calipers from your car. If you want to save some dosh and are capable mechanically, bring them in to us or post! We take them in, catalog, take photos and then begin stripping down the parts.
02
Blasting
Once stripped and bores / sealing surfaces / threads are masked off, its time to blast them! We use a large pressure cabinet style baster with aluminium oxide media. This gives us a good compromise between abrasion and a smooth finish without introducing corrosion as a result of the blast process.

03
Coating!
Once we are happy with the blasted finish, we prep the caliper for paint or powdercoat. We mask off certain areas and then depending on the customers requirements we either paint or powdercoat the calipers to perfection! We can colour match most paints and we have an amazing stock of paints and powders (such as this Lamborghini Ithaca Verde!).
04
Rebuild and Refit
The final process is to strip the calipers again, clean and rebuild with all new internals such as pistons, seals, slide pins and fitting kits. All of our parts are supplied by Frentech Braking to OE quality or better!
We then pressure test before refitting the calipers to your car if required and perform a full fluid flush. Some of our customers prefer we post them back so they can fit themselves!

I was convinced my callipers were beyond saving, not the case for GreenGenieRebuilds, returned to me looking a million dollars!

I originally contacted Callum so that he could sort out my brake calipers. I met up with him and spoke about lots of other upgrades I was thinking about for my Mazda Mx5. He was a fountain of knowledge and said that he could do everything for me. I left the car with him for a few weeks and the work that he had done was amazing, it was like getting a new car car back.
Throughout the whole process he kept in touch, explaining what he was doing, waiting for parts to arrive etc...
I'm having a little more work done soon and completely trust him to do a great job.
I even text him at times to ask for advice about my car, he always respond promptly and with great advice. I'm so glad I met him and now feel like he's a friend. A truly great guy.

I took my calipers to Callum after the piston had popped out. He promised to take a look and send me pictures of the progress. It turned out that all the springs had snapped, but Callum kept me well updated throughout the entire process. He went well above and beyond my expectations, and his pricing was extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!
